My curiosity and appreciation for animals began at a very young age. At the age of 14, I began volunteering at a local animal shelter and quickly learned that animal welfare was the career calling I was destined to pursue. Over many years, I transitioned from working at an animal shelter to working in veterinary medicine and connected and cared for countless dogs and cats. I've always appreciated the lessons in understanding and advocating for these loving companions. When I'm not working with animals, you can find me hiking in the North Cascades, tending to my plants, or journaling with a cup of tea.
