Welcome! My name is Emily (she/her), a certified professional dog trainer through the Karen Pryor Academy, and owner of Compassionate Canine Care with Emily, LLC. I'm passionate about helping dogs and their people build a more connected life together through kind, effective, and science-backed techniques that are both simple and safe.

Based in North Seattle, I specialize in using positive reinforcement to support dogs experiencing  reactivity, overwhelm in urban environments, as well as those needing help with everyday skills. My background in animal sheltering and veterinary medicine has shaped how I care deeply, advocate thoughtfully, and always meet dogs where they are.
 

 In a world that can feel sometimes unpredictable or overstimulating, I strive to be a steady source of understanding, safety, and good things—for the dogs I work with and the people who love them.
